Sarah Little is a journalist and the founder of More to Her Story, a global newsroom reporting on the lives of women and girls. Her work examines how power, law, violence, culture and religion shape women’s freedom, opportunity and everyday lives. She has conducted reporting and field research across the Middle East, North Africa, sub-Saharan Africa and Europe, with work published in The Economist, The Washington Post, The Guardian, VICE and other international outlets.

She has reported on women’s rights in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kenya, Pakistan, Sudan, Turkey and El Salvador, both in the field and remotely. She began in 2018, documenting the lives of young refugee women and girls in Jordan, Kenya, and Belgium. She has traveled to more than 45 countries.

Little is the first Non-Resident Journalist at Georgetown’s Institute for Women, Peace and Security and a Global Champion for Women for Women International. In 2025, she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 North America Media list and shortlisted for One Young World’s Journalist of the Year award.

Little spent part of her childhood in Qatar and has since lived and worked across the Middle East. She studied at The New School in New York and holds a master’s degree in international journalism from City, University of London.
